Hello, Internet!
So this is it. The first post!
The ceremonial waving-from-the-doorstep moment of launching a personal blog. A digital “hey there.”
A soft launch, if you will—like a new café that’s technically open but still taste-testing the banana bread.
I’m Franco. I’m a teacher, designer, facilitator, and game-maker.
I care about learning, creativity, and building better things with other people—whether that’s a school experience, a hackathon toolkit, or a tabletop game where you craft a ridiculous story, one word at a time, with friends, but you need to stay sharp because each of you has secret words to sneak in without getting caught (Looking at you, Bluffoons!)
For the past few years, I’ve bounced between classrooms, conferences, cardboard, and conversations that start with, “So what have you been working on?”
This space will be where I share some of those ideas, projects, processes, and probably a few half-baked thoughts on education, design, games, and the blurry bits in between.
If you’re curious about:
Making schools a place where students and staff want to be at.
Designing for collaboration and change
Playing (and making) games that cause a bit of chaos
Then I think we’ll get along just fine!
Thanks for stopping by : )
